As soon as the session one of the 2020 IPL auction ended, the top five most expensive players were announced. The magic of Aussie players once again enveloped the auction game and out of the top five most expensive players, three positions were grabbed by the Australian Cricket team members.
Topping the list is World number one test bowler, Pat Cummins from Australia who whopped INR 15.5 crore and will play for Kolkata Knight Riders in the upcoming IPL season.
Also, be ready to see some ‘Cottrel Salute’ on the fields as Sheldon Cottrell from West Indies found a place in the Kings XI Punjab team and also on the list of most expensive players in the auction.

Post auction session, Brendon McCullum, coach of KKR, took to his official social media handle announcing the captainship of the team will stay with Dinesh Karthik while welcoming Pat Cummins in the team. He wrote, “Two outstanding gentlemen will return to @KKRiders! @Eoin16 with his power middle order game & outstanding leadership help for @DineshKarthik & one of the game’s premier fast bowlers @patcummins30 who I feel was the best player on offer for this year’s @IPL auction Welcome boys! ” and instantly the post was shared by Cummins stating: “Can’t wait Baz ”.
