Are you struggling to cope with the outdoors? Sony has delivered the perfect solution for us, a wearable air-conditioner called the ‘Reon Pocket’.
This portable device is from the company’s startup acceleration program, in the size of a card wallet. This air conditioner and heater, can slide into the back of a specially designed shirt at the neck or back and weighs 85 grams.
The working of the device is quite simple. The device has adopted a Peltier (thermoelectric cooling) element that can be cooled and heated efficiently. This device can be turned on at the touch of a smartphone app via Bluetooth.
It supports iOS and Android, has a battery life of 24 hours and a charge time of two hours. Sony’s innovation can keep you warm, by controlling the temperature of the user’s body, 13° C in the summer and 8° C in winter.
It comes in two versions: the Reon Pocket Standard, priced at 14,080 Yen (approx. Rs 8,947) and Reon Pocket Lite, priced at 19,030 Yen (approx. Rs 12,093).
Sadly, Sony plans to launch this product only in Japan at the moment. The firm has started crowdfunding the gadget, people will be able to see the Reon Pocket around March 2020.
