American singer Christopher Maurice Brown commonly known as Chris Brown is not new to disputes. The R&B singer was released without charges on Tuesday after he was interrogated by the Paris police over a rape allegation, according to his lawyer.
Chris has been held by the Paris Police on the grounds of provoked rape and drug felonies. The woman filed a complaint that Chris raped her in a hotel room in Paris last week after meeting her in a club.
About a decade ago, he was blamed of pandering in physical violence with his then-girlfriend and singer Rihanna. His attack led to facial wounds on Rihanna and Chris himself turned in to Los Angeles Police Department. Soon after that, Chris was also indicted for criminal assault and making criminal coercion. Now, this.
The Paris prosecutor’s office said on Tuesday evening that Mr. Brown had been released without charges but that the analysis was continuing. Mr. Brown’s lawyer in Paris, Raphael Chiche, confirmed that his client had been released but did not remark further on the accusations against him.
On his official Instagram page, the singer posted a picture on Tuesday evening that said ‘This b!tch lyin’,’ an image he had used before in reference to an earlier charge in the United States. In the heading for the picture, Mr. Brown wrote in all caps that he wanted to ‘make it perfectly clear’ that ‘this is false.’
‘For my daughter and my family this is so disrespectful and is against my character and morals,’ he wrote.
