EMBROIDERY COLLECTION
About:
This embroidery line has been developed exploring the core of every woman. Strength of its threads, beauty of its colourful tapestry and the vulnerability of its fragile designs all depicting the woman who is not fearful to bring out her inner self. Just toss the drape aside and wear your heart on your sleeves.
In this collection, we at CHOLI BOLI, have celebrated some very pivotal characters from Indian ancient tradition. Though they may have not played long/sustained roles in our “itihaasas” but they have definitely been central in changing the course of our histories.
Name: Menaka
The eternal seductress, she has been defamed by the various interpretations of Indian mythology. One thing nevertheless, that hits you hard is at no point of time did Menaka change herself. Cursed accursed, she never denied her existence as an Apsara (the celestial dancer) and never defied her core profile of being an enchantress.
Name: Meenakshi
Known popularly as the demoness “Surpanakha”, she dared to seduce both Rama and Lakshmana. If it wouldn’t have been for her stubbornness and her determination to live her unreciprocated fantasy, the eternal history of Ramayana wouldn’t have taken place. At no point did she give up even if that meant, she was eternally depicted as the ugly and defiled one
Name: Maya
Another name of Mother Universe, it is said that the creation is bound to the core with nothing but the strongest force of delusion. The divine feminine has always expressed herself by deluding the minds. It is said that her tryst is to make her creation realise herself through her veiled face
Name: Mohini
Portrayed as the femme fatale, she was responsible for clearly dividing the good & evil, empowering the side of the eternal good. She not only distributed the divine sustenance to the preservers of humanity but she did that without compromising on her play of being the divine seductress.
