It’s been action filled days at the BWF World Tour Finals, which is being played in Bangkok!
Thailand Open singles champions, Carolina Marin and Viktor Axelsen continue their winning streak and have qualified to the semi-finals of the tournament. Remaining unbeaten, the players have managed to get three straight set victories.
World number one, Carolina beat Canadian Michelle Li, 21-16 21-13 to move to the top four of the BWF World Tour Finals. Maintaining consistency on court, the Spanish player’s quick and swift moves across the game doesn’t give time for her opponent to react to the shots. Using this as the key, Carolina is aiming for 2021 to be her year especially with the Olympics coming ahead.
Coming to men’s singles, Viktor Axelsen makes winning look so easy and he’s satisfied with his game play as well. In the second round of BWF World Tour Finals, the Danish badminton star overpowered Malaysia’s ZJ Lee, 21-15 21-4 to move to the semis. Having control over his shots and using the entire court is the key of Viktor and it’s working in his favor too.
