The couple finally got hitched in a Christian style wedding on 1st of December, but the pictures are not out yet, but Nickyanka have s posted a glimpse of their Indian-Mehendi ceremony and our eyes are filled with colours. Here’s a peep into all that you want to see from the two big events of the couple.
The Mehendi Ceremony-
The bride-to-be was in a custom made lehenga by design duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla for the elaborate Mehendi ceremony at the security-tied Umaid Bhawan Palace. Since the theme for the event was an Ode to the host city- Jodhpur, the design duo wanted to do something folksy for her and came up with this multi-hued organdy ensemble, which was inspired by one of their vintage collections. The jewellery she paired up was an exceptional Heirloom piece of very fine rubies collected over generations, designed by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla and crafted by SABOO. Her look was styled with her hair worn in a soft bun decorated with roses. With her stunning and radiant outfit, Priyanka’s happiness shines through as she takes a twirl in the dress.
Nick Jonas on the other hand, wore a simple aqua kurta by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla, which looked eccentric for the function and he was seen having a good time while enjoying the famous Indian hospitality. There was a distinct joie de vivre and playfulness as America mingled with India with a fun-filled cricket and baseball match to boot.

One of the most special things that our relationship has given us is a merging of families who love and respect each other’s faiths and cultures. And so planning our wedding with an amalgamation of both was so so amazing. An important part for the girl in an Indian wedding is the Mehendi. Once again we made it our own and it was an afternoon that kicked off the celebrations in the way we both dreamed.
The Sangeet Ceremony-
The wedding affair, coming together of two culture’s next event was a lavish and lit sangeet ceremony where each and every one present in the event shook a leg on the stage. The theme was ‘boys vs girls’ and the family members did not leave any stone unturned to make this competition a fiery and fun dance gala, the ceremony involves choreographed traditional dancing and music that tells the story of the bride and groom. The ceremony also saw Priyanka perform with her mother, Madhu Chopra, on the song Ram Chahe Leela from the film Goliyon Ki Raasleela – Ram Leela. The song Gallan Goodiyan from Priyanka’s film Dil Dhadakne Do was also a big hit when Nick and others did the hook-step and looked all-cute in the process. Just look at this video.

It all began as a fierce song & dance competition between the families but ended, as always, as a huge celebration of love. Nick and I were looking forward to the Sangeet (musical evening), another pre wedding ritual.. and to see what each side had put together. And what a performance it was. Each family telling our stories through song and dance, filled with lots of laughter and love. We were both filled with gratitude for the effort, the love and the laughter and will carry the memories of this special evening for the rest of our lives. It is an amazing start to a lifetime of togetherness for our families and friends…#grateful @nickjonas 📹/📷: @calebjordanlee @josevilla @josephradhik
Parineeti also took to the stage for a performance, while both the bride and the groom’s mothers delivered speeches for the beautiful couple. The air was filled with laughter and love and the pictures explain to us how. The bride wore a hand-embroidered gold and silver sari and totally looked divine and stood out as the beautiful bride in the colourfully lighted evening, while the groom wore a navy sherwani – both by the label Khosla Jani. The even saw an up-roar of peppy music with lively beats and a lot of fire-cracker show that lit up the entire palace, or the entire city we would say. Yet the best part for us from the evening was the American guests dressed in Indian traditional and moving to the choreographed beats of Bollywood chartbusters, wasn’t that an adorable and fun treat for the eyes?
