“India is thriving, and its people are testament to it” – Mansha Mittal
I feel that there has been no better time to be an entrepreneur than now. Audience acceptance of new products in India in every field has increased and there is room for everyone to experiment and thrive. India is thriving and its people are testament to it. The advancement in technology has allowed all of us to reach parts of India that were beyond our reach initially but now feel within arms-length. This is the best time to be an entrepreneur and pursue something you love.

“India is one place where you witness diversity and versatility in culture and fashion” – Vedika M Sonthalia
As a designer I feel immense pride belonging to a country, which can still produce small, sustainable batches of clothing using highly skilled pairs of hands, in a world of fast fashion and consumerism. India is one place where you witness diversity and versatility in culture and fashion, and we have so much more to explore and look forward to. With a market as ginormous as India’s, there is a lot of space for not just the existing crop of young designers to thrive, but also for new ones to make their mark.

I personally feel empowered to run my brand in this day and age, generating employment and doing what I love every single day of my life. Jai hind

“Being an entrepreneur in this era is so empowering” – Saloni Panwar and Salman Khan
With the onset of 2022, and the occasion of 75th Republic Day, I feel that as a nation we have come so far from where we started off. Earlier, owning a business and making it work was quite a task. However, now we have access to everyone and everything, and as entrepreneurs have the power to create things, we couldn’t even have imagined earlier. With new technology, every business can prosper. It’s amazing to see that our government and people around, have accepted this evolution in the business world by promoting the same to new heights. That is why being an entrepreneur in this era is so empowering.

This 75th Republic Day, I feel proud to belong to an India that not only supports, but also celebrates empowered individuals. Be it the changing marketplace, evolving to appreciate and accept more design-centric garments, or the investment and focus on Indian-made labels; the country is at the pinnacle of opportunity and is thriving with brands that can now explore and experiment. This to me is empowering.

India is a land of colourful festivities, but national festivals such as Republic Day are something that always bring a sense of empowerment and make us believe that together we have come a long way. As female designers, The feeling of being independent and opinionated are two real big words women struggled to be in the past, but not anymore. More than monetarily, the love earned by the people awakens the sense of being proud of ourselves and also all the women of the country who believed in themselves like us! For every woman that is working and reading this, we are proud of you! Make this year and years to come YOURS.
