The young SRK Kid Suhana Khan is definitely one of the favourites of the nation from the budding generation and this year when she finally made her account public, we were exhilarated to see some of the candid moments from SRK’s family.
But the kid is grown up now and has swept us off our feet with her recent post where she has written a strong long note and posted screenshots of several comments she received on her looks.
In a country where obsession with fair skin tone has been always on display, Suhana also fell prey to the scrutiny because of her dark skin shade. The young lady on several occasions has suffered disparage due to her looks and trolled over and over again on social media.
Putting her brave side out and penning down a powerful message, Suhana started her note with. “There’s a lot going on right now and this is one of the issues we need to fix!!”, and went on to explain how she was constantly nudged by “full grown men and women” on her looks. Delivering a fact that all the Indians belong to brown tone and no matter what we do the melanin won’t go away, she emphasized on self-love and alteration of the beauty notion perceived and set by society.
Concluding her note with #EndColourism, Suhana also stated, “Hating on your own people just means that you are painfully insecure.” like a boss lady and posted a beautiful picture of hers with all smiles.
