To make life simpler, the government has introduced mobile apps that help you in every aspect of life. See:
1. Aarogya Setu
Developed by the Government of India, Aarogya Setu is a mobile application that connects essential health services to the citizens in the country’s combined fight against COVID-19. The app is aimed at informing the users regarding risks, best practices and relevant advisories pertaining to the containment of COVID-19. A commendable initiative by the Ministry of Health.
2. Umang
UMANG (Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance) is an e-governance app developed by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and National e-Governance Division. It is designed for Indian citizens to access all pan Indian e-government services like Healthcare, Finance, Education, Housing, Energy, Agriculture, Transport and Employment. Some of the Digital India Services are PayGov, Aadhaar and DigiLocker, and can be used from this app.
3. Jan Sahayak
An app that turned out to be a game changer during the crisis of COVID-19 is developed by the Faridabad District Administration and is only available in Haryana. The service delivery app helps the common man receive all the goods and services they are entitled to. Through the OTP based login and using the GPS detection for location, authorities receive and forward the details of essential goods requests to concerned authorities who assign a delivery executive for it. The user can also submit special requests in the containment zones in the coronavirus impacted areas. It acts as a single app to broadcast any information from local administration to the common people in their area.
