A bespoke perfume brand launched in India in 2017, 3003 BC was inspired by the oldest known memory of perfumes, dating back to the Mesopotamian Civilization (3000 BC). Behind the concept was the desire to bring a new-age offering to the connoisseurs of today, as a counter to the earlier custom of creating bespoke fragrances purely for royalty and nobility.

Established by Sushant and Anil Panda, 3003BC brings a diversity of experiences to the bespoke-perfume space. Sushant is a former advertising professional whose last role was as CEO at Havas Worldwide, while Anil is a tech professional who prior to co-founding 3003BC was global innovation lead at Barclays London. Additionally, the brand has collaborated with celebrated perfumer, John Stephen—the man behind some of the world’s most recognisable and successful fragrances —to craft truly bespoke and classy scents that speak luxury, and boast a sensibility that is Indian and global at the same time.
Since 3003BC believes that true market growth happens when multiple players drive marketing and consumption, the brand also positions itself as a platform for discerning, premium fashion brands eager to launch their fine fragrances in India, where the market for the same has lain untapped.
With the fashion market currently estimated at US$58 billion, the fine-fragrance market as per global norms should be around US$1.75 billion. However, at present, it is worth only US$ 0.2 billion. 3003BC is one of the very few Indian companies specialising in the creation of fine fragrances, and so is best placed to lead growth worldwide.
