The Japanese Conglomerate, Sony is all set to compete with renowned drone maker DJI with their new project in the field of AI robotics.
Earlier this year, the company announced its grand entry into the automobile industry and now it’s notching up its game by exploring the drone field.
Hinting at their consumer-focused drone development which will be fitted with Sony’s upclass lens, the company in their press release stated: “Sony has assigned the “Airpeak” brand to reflect its aspiration to contribute to the further evolvement and the creation of the unprecedented value through its imaging and sensing technology as well as 3R technologies (Reality, Real-time and Remote) in the drone area.”
The ‘Airpeak’ project is launched to support the creativity of video creators and contribute to the development of the entertainment industry. It will also look forward to improving the efficiency of various other industries and contributing to their savings. Moreover Sony’s new project will also consider the safety and reliability factors which have not been explored in the past.
Withholding the technical information of their drone, Sony announced that the ‘Airpeak’ project will be launched in spring of 2021.
