Share your thoughts on your recent award of Best RJ Presenter in the UK (2017 and 2018).
– The feeling of this reward is beyond! Makes me elevated and delighted at the same time. With immense gratitude, I feel obliged to my listeners who gave my efforts this honour and respect.
How did you feel when you working with Shahrukh Khan and Ranbeer Kapoor?
– Both are extraordinarily humble and super talented. As been said in the past – SRK is a man known for his chivalry, and he lives up to it every minute. Ranbeer, contrary to popular opinion is super fun on sets.
How has been the experience of interviewing Bollywood celebs from Amitabh Bachchan to Ranveer Singh?
– It has been an honour every time I get to spend time with such precious and gifted people. There is nothing I can say, which hasn’t been said before else than the fact that their mannerism is the sole characteristic which helps them remain rooted and retain them in the industry where competition is cut-throat.
How difficult it is for you to survive in the UK? Have you faced racism?
– Racism, in today’s age and the world, shouldn’t have existed, but contrary to which it has become more fervent than before. The more people know about different cultures, colours – humans in general, they have started to get derogative of each other’s existence. However, easier said than done, it is a little tricky at times when I come across such people, but more often, I get to be with people who are aware and unapologetically appreciative of people with colour.
At the age of 31, you have multiple professions – RJ, Anchor, Celebrity Host, and an Actor. How does it feel?
– It sounds taxing but is nothing less than an adventure I am blessed with. With every profession, every opportunity, I get to explore a different side of my personality. There is nothing mundane in my routine, and I don’t think there is a better part of it.
How is your interest in Pollywood (Punjabi cinema) and give us some details on what all is there in future?
– I am always open to new adventure and venues life has to offer. Pollywood / Bollywood – I am more than happy to explore! As of now, there are individual projects I am working on, and hopefully, people will get to see things soon!
