US President Donald Trump has been impeached by the House of Representatives and will face trial in the Senate, which will decide if he will remain in the office. He is only the third President in US history to have been impeached, the first two being Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton.
Two charges have come up against the President on which the decision was taken- abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. However, the White House has released a statement that President is “confident that he will be fully exonerated” in Senate trial.
The President is confident the Senate will restore regular order, fairness, and due process, and will continue to work tirelessly to address the needs and priorities of the American people, as he has since the day he took office.

Apart from this, Trump has also tweeted and posted an image on instagram which majorly states that he is doing everything in his power to be a shield protecting his people.
