Zimson, a leading Indian watch retailer, announced the exclusive showcasing of the Tissot Heritage 1973 Collector’s Edition Watch in India. This unique edition is limited to 1,973 pieces worldwide, and only a few of these watches (approx. 15 nos.) will now be available for the very first time in the country. The collection will be accessible exclusively through Zimson showrooms and their select boutiques, beginning September 17, 2019.
The Tissot Heritage 1973 Collector’s Edition was inspired from Formula 1 racing and was developed in association with the Kessel Classics motor-racing team. Dating back to 1973, the Tissot Navigator was a key timepiece in the partnerships tying Tissot to motor-racing, and a very strong bond was forged between the brand and the Swiss pilot, Loris Kessel, who competed in Formula 1 under the Tissot banner. Tissot is now bringing back this seventies style chronograph to celebrate the spirit of motor-racing as well as its recently re-kindled partnership with Kessel Classics, which owns Tissot Formula 1.
Sharjeel Khan, Director, Zimson, stated, “With the growth of a discerning HNI base in India, watch collectors are increasingly aspiring to own rare and historic timepieces with a rich brand legacy. Tissot is one of the oldest watch brands in the world, and given our 70 year old legacy in watch retailing, we felt it was befitting to bring in the Tissot Heritage 1973 Collector’s Edition to India. The collection brings together the best of retro design, precious materials, and cutting-edge technology, making it a coveted timepiece for every watch collector.”
