Bollywood has been cheering the Indian Army who lost their lives for the nation through patriotic films like ‘Raazi’, ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’, ‘Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyo’, ‘Shaheed’, and many more.
Among these, is Akshay Kumar starrer film ‘Kesari’, which showcased the true story of the Battle of Saragarhi, where 21 Sikh soldiers lost their lives and created history while fighting heroically against British Army of 10,000 Afghan attackers.
Paying an ode to every soldier, Zee Cinema urges the citizens of India to give a little contribution to the ones who have sacrificed a lot by joining #MainBhiKesari campaign. The campaign started from 1 August. The fans who want to extend their hands to help the families of martyrs, simply need to donate any amount on ‘Bharat Ke Veer’ or ‘Freecharge’ app or website. After the donation, share the screenshot on social media by tagging Zee Cinema and using the hashtag as #MainBhiKesari. For every contribution, the channel promises to pay Rs 500 from themselves towards Bharat Ke Veer.
Karan Johar, Dharma movies and Akshay Kumar took to their social handle urged the fans to join the campaign. Akshay Kumar writes, “Our soldiers are our pride. Chaliye, aap, main aur @zeecinema mil kar ek chhote kadam se, ek bada contribution karein. Join the #MainBhiKesari initiative and contribute on http://bit.ly/BharatKeVeer-MainBhiKesari or http://bit.ly/MainBhiKesari-Freecharge.”
While Karan Johar pens, “An ode to our brave soldiers who fought for our country.
