After Saif Ali Khan-Rani Mukerji’s ‘Bunty Aur Babli 2’ and Rana Daggubati’s ‘Haathi Mere Saathi’, Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi starrer ‘Chehre’ is also postponed owing to rising coronavirus cases in the country.
On Instagram, the cast of the movie shared this news with fans. Directed by Rumy Jafry, the mystery thriller was scheduled for a theatrical release on 8 April but now it’s been pushed to a later date which is unknown to all.
Thinking about the safety of the audience, this decision was made by the makers of ‘Chehre’. With a surge in COVID-19, the new guidelines for theatres have also changed due to which the movie is postponed until further notice.
The team of ‘Chehre’ thanked fans for the overwhelming response, love and support towards the trailer and this whole reason has made them release the movie only on the big silver screen. They want fans to experience the movie in cinema halls but only when the environment is “more conducive”. Till then, they have urged everyone to stay safe, wear a mask and use sanitizers.
