Before the start of the ‘She The North’ rally, the streets of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada started flooding with people to have a glimpse of the 19-year-old girl Bianca Andreescu. The girl of the moment visited her hometown Mississauga on Sunday, after her epic win of the US Open singles title against the legendary player Serena Williams.
Mayor Bonnie Crombie has earlier shared on her official social media handle about the rally urging the public to join the grand celebration. She wrote, “Only a few hours to go until our #SheTheNorth rally to celebrate @Bandreescu_ ’s big #USOpen win. Rain or shine join us at 4:30 p.m at @MCSEvents to welcome home Canada’s champion ”.

Along with the schedule of the rally, Mayor also announced the participation of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in the rally to commemorate the victory of first-ever Canadian in the Grand Slam.

With the people dancing and cheering on the streets, the tennis sensation waved the Canadian National flag after which she was joined by the Liberal leader Justin Trudeau who called her an inspiration for the entire nation.

After all the speeches and celebrations, Mayor Crombie presented Andreescu with a key to the city and revealed the name of the street Andreescu Way, which is dedicated to the tennis star.
