It’s the year-end and we are compiling the best of the internet for you. From the Best performance to the Best social media debut, we are bringing you everything that made our year.
So here it goes:
1. Best Dressed:
From bringing old styles back to giving space to some huge fashion disasters and of course copied attires, this year had everything in the name of style. While Bollywood’s styling game is always up, there are some actors who kept us enthralled with their various avatars and one of the biggest transformations in the term of fashion was seen in Deepika Padukone who did not shy away from trying out something new for the entire year. The actress who was known to play it safe every time took some of the biggest risks of this year (effect of hubby, maybe!) by donning out colours, prints, glitter, frills and what not.
Have a look:
2. Best Performance:
Best performance undoubtedly was by Ayushmann Khurrana. First of all is there anything this actor can’t do? And is there any way he can not surprise us? Ayushmann’s success story of this year started with ‘Article 15’. While he bagged the National Award for his 2018 thriller movie ‘Andhadhun’ there’s no way this guy is stopping in the coming future.
3. Best Abs:
There were many shirtless pictures on the internet this year (the best treat for us). With abs flying all across the online world, our heart skipped a beat when Aditya Roy Kapoor made a debut on Instagram and just a few weeks later gave us a glimpse of his perfectly toned body. And while we were recovering from it, he dropped another shirtless picture and literally killed us.
Meanwhile, Sara Ali Khan’s transformation was stupendous and the actress did not hide her old self from the media. Becoming an inspiration by sharing her overweight images from the past and openly talking about PCOD, Sara’s jump to being one of the fittest actresses made us all fall for her a hundred times more.
4. Best Social Media Debut:
From Lata Mangeshkar to Ratan Tata, this year, we saw many known faces joining the social media. While others got instant followers of over 100k on their Instagram account, Jennifer Aniston’s debut broke the internet (literally, Instagram went down for hours!). Garnering over 10 million likes on her very first picture with the entire cast of ‘Friends’, our favourite Rachel Green has more than 22 million followers and once again world showed ‘Friends’ will never lose the heat.
5. Best Meme:
When the world goes down, what keeps us alive? It’s memes. Conveying your messages through memes has become a part of the online tradition which we can not overlook. And just like every year, we got our share of laughs with some of the iconic trolls (and the creativity leaves me dumbfounded). Be it ‘JCB ki Khudayi’ or the ‘Sacred Games 2’ Parle G meme, these small quips from the internet world, definitely kept us entertained with their use. But the best one was captured from the Cricket World Cup when a disappointed Pakistani fan saw his country perform weakly on the field and his reaction was epic.
Yes! The most versatile meme of this year is definitely the still image of Muhammad Sarim Akhtar and we still can not get over it.
