‘Let’s Smash The Patriarchy Me And You’, the words have been echoing since Tuesday evening on social media.
In the ongoing CBI probe into the Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide case, the Narcotics Control Bureau has arrested Rhea Chakraborty, post which a debate struck the social media demanding justice to Rhea.
The scrutiny through which Rhea underwent also highlighted the treatment from the media where the other day, reporters entered her personal space, showing off the misogynist and sexist setup which many netizens found really hard to digest.
The ‘Patriarchy’ word once again sparked when Rhea was seen reaching the NCB wearing a black T-shirt with ‘Roses Are Red, Violets Are Blue, Let’s Smash The Patriarchy Me And You’.
Soon her T-shirt slogan was taken up by the celebs who openly spoke about the mistreatment of the lady and the vilification she is going through in the media trials.
From actresses Vidya Balan, Sayani Gupta, Radhika Apte, Kareena Kapoor to actor Abhay Deol, the B’town biggies posted it on their social media handle which jolted our conscience questioning the way Rhea came under the lens of media along with the constant threats she and her family received over time.
Along with this social media chaos, another huge revelation was made by the Journalist working for the Republic Media, who openly came out questioning the work ethics of the agency and called it a quit.
Bollywood actor Farhan Akhtar, retweeted her post calling out the media personnels and applauding the lady for her brave stance.
Take a look at his tweet:
This is the time for all media people who still have a conscience to call out those who have silenced or sold theirs. One must applaud this woman for her courage and integrity. Hope she inspires others to speak out. https://t.co/ecQlji45Zb
