The most endearing Indian politician and senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Sushma Swaraj passed away yesterday, in Delhi, due to a cardiac attack. The Former External Affairs Minister was admitted to AIIMS hospital, where she was declared deceased.
The news of her demise shocked and saddened the nation including many politicians, Bollywood celebrities, South stars and sports personalities, and led them to take to their social handles, mourning for her and pour tribute to the politician.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a couple of tweets paying tribute to her. He tweets, “A glorious chapter in Indian politics comes to an end. India grieves the demise of a remarkable leader who devoted her life to public service and bettering the lives of the poor. Sushma Swaraj Ji was one of her kind, who was a source of inspiration for crores of people.”
He continued appreciating her and expressing with more tweets and end up saying, “Sushma Ji’s demise is a personal loss. She will be remembered fondly for everything that she’s done for India. My thoughts are with her family, supporters and admirers in this very unfortunate hour. Om Shanti.”
