After spending a gala time with husband Nick Jonas at the dazzling Cannes Film Festival last week. Priyanka Chopra is presently in Ethiopia as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.
The former Quantico actress has journeyed to Addis Ababa to support a program that sanctions girls and boys – and recognised the trip on Instagram. She was delighted to meet and authorised school children from the Bambasi Refugee Camp Primary School.
According to her Instagram post, there is only one teacher to every 89 pupils and stated the children were a bit shy initially and that it took a lot of tickles and cuddles to get them out of their shell.
She also met with the first female president of Ethiopia President Sahle-Work Zewde.
In her discourse at the school, she gave figures about children who were out of school and those who dropped out saying that UNICEF’s aim is to get every child in school, with quality guidance and to make sure they complete their education.
