South Indian superstar and ‘Baahubali’ actor, Prabhas has adopted the Kazipalli Urban Forest in Hyderabad as part of the Green India Challenge initiated by TRS Rajya Sabha MP J Santosh. He also donated two crore rupees to the forest officials for the development.
Spread across 1650 acres and located near Dundigal, the urban eco-park will be named in memory of Prabhas’s father UVS Raju. Along with the MP and Telangana’s forest minister Allola Indra Karan Reddy, Prabhas laid the foundation stone in the Kazipalli Urban Forest and planted a few saplings in the reserve forest region.
Just a small portion of the forest will be converted into an Urban Forest Park by the forest department whereas the rest will be deemed as a conservation zone, known for its medicinal plants. Prabhas announced this piece of news on Instagram and hopes that this would create an additional lung space.
