Who does not love dogs? The best company to any man, it is not hidden that dogs make us the happiest. Understanding our feelings to trying to enhance our mood, these little pooches have cure to every problem. Getting a man without saying anything, they are the most loyal animals on the earth. So to dedicate a day to their loyalty and friendship, August 26 is celebrated as the International Dog Day annually. Also termed as Dog Appreciation Day, it aims to spread awareness of dog adoption, irrespective of their breeds. The day also talks more about providing rescue dogs with a safe and loving home.

1. Alie and Charlie:
Alie and Charlie is the creation of Illustrator Alicia Souza where she is often seen writing and doodling about her muse Charlie. One of the best boy in the town, Charlie is a naughty but obedient dog of Alicia, adopted by the illustrator when he was six months old. Picking out his habits and putting them in her illustrations, Alicia has won many hearts through her doodles and is always seen advocating for the adoption of stray dogs.
In a polka dotted blue shirt, a bow tie and with suspenders, Charlie steals the heart (sometimes food too from the plate) of everyone in the most recent post of the artist. However, he generally has to share his bed with brother Henry, who is a little hamster with great personality.
P. S. Charlie doesn’t like interacting with other dogs, especially the ones who follow him during his walks.
2. Traveling Chapati:
Traveling Dog Chapati has over 30 thousand followers and has traveled in cars, buses, trains, bikes and even ferry. Chapati first met Kristina Madalova and Eugene Petrus, Ukrainian couple, during their world tour at Fort Kochi. A happy and bouncy dog within two days made her place in the hearts of the couple who were originally looking for an adoption center for her. Named after their favourite Indian bread, Chapati’s Instagram feeds will definitely give you some serious traveling goals.
P. S. To be honest, we are a little jealous of his lifestyle.
3. 157 of Gemma:
Artist Gemma Gene, lives in Brooklyn with her beloved and pampered dog Mochi. The six year old Pug is the star of her ‘157ofgemma’ comic series in which she tells small but noticeable stories of being a mom to a naughty Pug. His irresistible charm makes everyone fall in love with him, receiving pampering from whomever he meets. The little cute and spoilt doggo always seems to follow the artist and makes her fulfill all his demands with that adorable little puppy face.
P. S. Mochi has two brothers Huey and Duey and a best friend Ben (who hardly seems to notice him, but who cares).
4. Carter and Toby:
The Carter and Toby features the adventures of a little boy Carter and his rescued dog Toby. The dog was rescued by the couple after they got back from their honeymoon and once Toby grew up, he became a big brother to Carter. An expert cuddler Toby is often seen pampering Carter, who loves him unconditionally. The Instagram page, that has many adorable videos, shows the best relationship shared by these munchkins.
P. S. Carter now has a younger sibling Max, who seems to love climbing everything (literally everything) in the house, and Toby is very concerned about him.
5. Wheels and Tails:
The Mumbai based couple who take around their two dogs, Frodo, a Golden Retriever and Cruise, a Labrador, on every vacation. The couple, Tanveer Taj and Priyanka Jena, shared the glimpses of the journey with their dogs on their YouTube channel as well as Instagram. Their four month long expedition not only covered the best places of India but also won the hearts by the care they showed to their pets. For all the pet owners, taking a vacation is the hardest thing to do especially seeing those shiny eyes going gloomy everytime you leave. A goal for all the adventure seekers with pets out there, this page is dedicated to the story of two dogs who love to travel.
