Today marks an important event in the calendar of India.
On this day the prominent revolutionary Bhagat Singh was born in 1907 in Punjab. Known for his valour and incredible work in helping the country raise its voice against the British rule, Bhagat Singh’s name is forever engraved in the Indian history.
Moved by the massacre at Jallianwala Bagh, the young hero of India fought against the dominance of British Queen and at a mere age of 23 was hanged at Lahore Jail, rousing a sense of responsibility among the youth of the nation to join the force and overthrow the British government.
On his 113 birth anniversary, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi has shared a post on his social media handle where he talks about the legendary Bhagat Singh and his inspiring journey to galvanise the freedom movements across the nation.
