Former President of the United States, Barack Obama is releasing his most anticipated book ‘A Promise Land’ on 17 November which will give a walk-through of his life while he was in the White House and his undiminished belief in the American idea.
But ahead of the release, the former President has shared an excerpt from his book where he has written about his last day as a President. Talking about the 2016 election results, Barack Obama in his book has written: “Both of us were drained, physically and emotionally, not only by the labors of the previous eight years but by the unexpected results of an election in which someone diametrically opposed to everything we stood for had been chosen as my successor.” as he gave a deeper view about the administration and American socio-economical setup.
In his memoir, Mr Obama has also written about the 3 November 2020 election and dedicated his book to the youth. Putting his trust in the upcoming generation for revolutionizing the country’s face, Barack Obama has also stated: “I wrote my book for young people—as an invitation to once again remake the world, and to bring about, through hard work, determination, and a big dose of imagination, an America that finally aligns with all that is best in us.”
More than anyone else, I wrote my book for young people—as an invitation to once again remake the world, and to bring about, through hard work, determination, and a big dose of imagination, an America that finally aligns with all that is best in us. https://t.co/1yZrYWuckX
