Trying hand in rom-coms, Bollywood actress Nushrat Barucha is all set to explore the horror genre. On the gram, she announced her next project ‘Chhori’ and it has left her fans in eager anticipation.
Last seen in ‘Dream Girl’ opposite Ayushmann Khurrana, Nushrat will play the main lead in ‘Chhori’, a Hindi remake of the award-winning Marathi film ‘Lapachhapi’.
Sharing the happy news on social media, Nushrat Barucha wrote, “Thrilled to announce my next film, #Chhori (#छोरी) – Something shockingly scary is coming your way! Excited to work with @abundantiaent @crypttv @ivikramix @notjackdavis and with the amazing @furia_vishal #Psych @shikhaarif.sharma @raedita @thevishalkapoor”.
Based around age-old societal beliefs and practices that give rise to tales of pure terror, ‘Chhori’ will have a unique blend of horror and social drama that makes it a thrilling and emotional ride. Keeping the same essence intact, the script of ‘Chhori’ is being written by Vishal Kapoor and directed by Vishal Furia, both of them worked in ‘Lapachhapi’.
