The gallery’s inaugural show is A Reverie of a Memory; a solo exhibition by Anilakumar Govindappa
Method, known for its commitment to making art a social experience accessible to all, is thrilled to announce the opening of its third gallery in Juhu, Mumbai. Since its inception in 2019, Method has been dedicated to providing a platform for contemporary and post-urban art, and the new Juhu location will further expand its vision by fostering creative development within the community.
Juhu, a vibrant neighborhood with a distinct lack of art spaces, presented an opportunity for Method to address this void and bring art closer to the local residents. The Juhu gallery is the largest of Method’s locations, spanning an expansive 1800 sq ft. With ample natural light and 12′ high walls, the space provides an ideal setting for exhibitions and creative interactions.
In addition to presenting monthly-changing exhibitions, Method Juhu will emphasize community engagement through regular workshops, artist discussions, and performances. The gallery aims to enrich the neighborhood by offering opportunities for creative exploration and fostering a sense of togetherness. Furthermore, Method Juhu will feature a café in collaboration with Subko, providing a relaxing environment where visitors can indulge in specialty coffee and delectable treats from Subko bakehouse.
Sahil Arora, Founder and Curator of Method, expressed his excitement about the new outlet, saying, “We’re thrilled to bring art to Juhu and create a space where people can immerse themselves in art, connect with fellow enthusiasts, and experience the transformative power of creativity. Method Juhu invites everyone to explore our exhibitions, discover unique art objects, participate in workshops, or simply enjoy a cup of coffee at the café by Subko.”

About Method:
“The Revolution introduced me to art, and in turn, art introduced me to the Revolution! ”–Albert Einstein
It’s unclear as to whether Einstein was talking about a political or scientific revolution, but it is evident that art and breaking away are intermingled at the core. Method is an introspective and “extrospective” approach to art and the world in which it currently exists. By acknowledging that limitlessness is an inherent characteristic of creativity, we fall beyond the domain of predetermined outcomes not only as artists but as a community. In doing so, we transpose and expand with the movement of art. This cultivates collaboration and experimentation for the purpose of expression as well as discovery. At present, Method has three physical spaces in Mumbai. Method Kala Ghoda primarily showcases fine art and installations. Method Bandra focuses on new media, photography, and human connectivity and Method Juhu a community-driven space
