Scoring the final goal against Osasuna at FC Barcelona’s home ground Camp Nou, Lionel Messi celebrated it by stripping off his jersey top and revealing a Newell’s Old Boys shirt in reference to former player Diego Maradona. Paying tribute to the Argentina great, Messi also blew a kiss with both hands to the sky as he looked upward.
After the match, Messi shared a collage of his picture alongside an older image of Maradona in the same shirt, who passed due to heart attack at the age of 60. With the world mourning the sudden death of Maradona, Messi’s tribute was a great moment in every way. Along with the photo, Messi also added the message ‘Farwell, Diego’ in Spanish.

Meanwhile, aiming for a corner goal, Wolves’ Raul Jimenez and Arsenal’s David Luis hurled into the ball and hit their heads while falling on the field motionless. Luis escaped with a bleeding nose but Jimenez suffered a head injury. Paramedics were called and on a stretcher, the 29 year-old footballer was taken to the hospital. Currently, he’s stable and his club, Wolves won the match against Arsenal, 2-1.
