Recently the much talked about the movie, Manikarnika’s trailer was out starring Kangana Ranaut. The trailer of the movie is engaging and is successful in generating excitement to watch the movie. The writer of the movie is K.V Vijeyendra Prasad, who has also written Baahubali, The Beginning, which increases one’s expectations.
As we know Kangana Ranaut is one of the most talented actresses and power-packed performer to in Bollywood currently. She stuns you with her outstanding performance in the trailer.
Performance
Since Kangana is the only face we see prominently in the trailer, we realise we can only judge the trailer based on her work. She was magnificent in the trailer with her intense expressions stating a story of war and rebellion.
Screenplay
The screenplay is outstanding as each scene attempts to create an aura of an epic film and gives us a historic vibe.
Cinematography
Regarding the cinematography, the film seems to have captured the essence well. As it’s a period film, the scale differs and needs to be more than just any other average movie, and the cinematographer seems to have done justice too it.
Supporting cast
We got a glimpse of Ankita Lokhande, last seen in Ekta Kapoor’s Pavitra Rishta. A well-known TV actress, there are high expectations from her as well.
Expressions
As far as the acting goes, Kangana’s expressions in the trailer were monotonous. Sans variations, we would have loved to see a vulnerable Kangana beneath the warrior.
Music
The veteran trio- Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy are the music composers for the movie, who has won National Award back in 2004, but we all know how effective Shankar Ehsaan & Loy’s music is, in getting the tone right. We are quite excited to experience the full album. In the trailer, the background score by Sanchit and Ankit Balhara seems to be average at best. We need to see more to fully evaluate its effectiveness.
Interestingly, the movie is releasing on 25th Jan 2019, colliding with Hrithik Roshan’s starrer Super 30. We are all aware of the Hrithik-Kangana war fought last year. Let’s see what happens.
