Jesy Nelson from the all-girls British pop band, Little Mix has officially left the group as the constant pressure of giving her best has taken a toll on her mental health. On Instagram, the band and Jesy Nelson penned down a long note to announce this news.
Little Mix shared a happy monochrome group picture with Jesy alongside her ex-bandmates Jade, Perrie and Leigh-Anne. They attached a few heartfelt lines with it stating that they are supportive of Jesy’s decision and are grateful for the fans’ love for the last nine years. Concluding the note, the trio will continue as a band and hope to see fans on the tour.
As soon as the news of Jesy Nelson leaving Little Mix came out, the band and the singer started trending on every social media platform. Jesy also released a statement on Instagram stating the reason why she decided to take this huge step. This news came in a month after she took an extended break due to private medical reasons.
Posting a note, Jesy stated that with ‘much consideration and a heavy heart’, she decided to leave Little Mix as the expectations and constant pressure of being in the limelight affected her mental health. Jesy added that she had an incredible time and felt like ‘the luckiest girl in the world’, grateful for constant love and support from fans and hopes to see them by her side as the singer starts a new chapter in life.
Before saying goodbye Jesy is appreciative of everyone’s hard work and dedication in the last nine years. But mainly, she sent her best wishes to Jade, Perrie and Leigh-Anne for all the memories and hope that they make music that people love.
