Renowned for her deep-rooted passion for textiles and the cultural stories they embody, Ahuja brings her latest vision to life with Ajrakh – a centuries-old block-printing technique that originated in the Kutch region of Gujarat and parts of Sindh. Known for its resist-dyeing process, symmetrical patterns, and earthy tones, Ajrakh is an enduring symbol of heritage craftsmanship.
Akashi reimagines this ancient art with a contemporary lens – constructing each garment on a luxurious base of modal satin, enhanced with intricate hand embroidery. The result is a festive line that merges traditional artistry with Akashi’s refined, modern aesthetic.
