The continuous search for the vaccine for COVID-19 has not slowed down since its outbreak and scientists from across the world have been working day and night to find the appropriate cure to defeat this pandemic.
As India has entered the top ten countries which are severely affected by the Coronavirus, PM Modi is continuously working and conducting online meets with other world leaders to combat this issue.
While addressing the virtual Global Vaccine Summit hosted by UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, with a participation of over 50 countries, PM declared that India stands in solidarity with the World in the challenging times.
Talking about the Indian culture and how the contribution from India to GAVI, the international vaccine alliance, will bring down the overall cost of vaccines across the world, India pledged 15 million US Dollars to the vaccine alliance, while still being eligible to receive support from GAVI.
The report about the Global Vaccine Summit was shared on the official page of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the caption that reads: “Addressed #GVS2020. This is a commendable effort to bring together various stakeholders and work to eliminate COVID-19. @gavi is a symbol of global solidarity and it reminds us that by helping others we are also helping ourselves.”
