It doesn’t seem that the cult hit ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ is 25 years old. It feels like it was just yesterday when we were first introduced to the dynamic duo of Amar-Prem aka Aamir and Salman Khan.
It is hard to believe that the Rajkumar Santoshi movie, starring Raveena Tandon, Karishma Kapoor, Paresh Rawal and Shakti Kapoor, did not do well in the box office because in its due course the movie earned the fame of the best Bollywood comedy ever made.

From the hilarious punch lines of Amar to romantic innocence of Prem, from crime master Gogo to the dumb villains Robert and Bhalla, from the mark of Teja to the Karishma-Raveena Raveena-Karishma confusion, Andaz Apna Apna is more than a movie to us.
While some fans are really not in the favour of tampering the original best, the producers of Andaz Apna Apna, Vinay Sinha and Priti Sinha, planned to re-launch the film in a unique style and with a different background and plot.
One of the sources broke the news quoting, ‘Andaz Apna Apna reloaded a big film and the makers are treading cautiously as they want to finalise everything before making an announcement. Ranveer and Varun have been approached to play Amar and Prem for their comic flair, who again will be happy-go-lucky characters but not the same ones we saw in the 1994 movie. Both are good friends off screen and will be able to carry off their roles with ease. This will be set in 2019 and promises to be another laugh riot yet with underlying emotions. The iconic character of Crime Master Gogo (played by Shakti Kapoor earlier) will also make a comeback with a contemporary actor and his character will be more stylised and modern.’
Well if the source is true, then God bless the makers of the film while we wait with excitement to witness some Amar-Prem comedy all again in the face of Ranveer Singh and Varun Dhawan.
