In the second ODI, India registered a win of 107 runs against West Indies at Visakhapatnam. What a watch!
Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul smashed centuries while Kuldeep Yadav and Shami’s dream spells gave the Indian team a solid platform. As usual, in each innings, the Indian players created history.
On consecutive balls, Kuldeep Yadav dismissed three batsmen and claimed his second ODI hattrick. He also became the first Indian to do so in International Cricket.
On the other hand, Rohit Sharma is officially the Indian team’s record breaker. Scoring 159 runs in the second ODI, he became the first opener to score ten hundreds in International Cricket in a calendar year. Currently, Sharma is the first player to score ODI tons against seven different teams in a year and also became the first batsman to hit eight 150 plus scores in ODI’s.
2. Kallis joins South African Support Staff
The former South African batsman, Jacques Kallis will join South Africa’s staff team as a batting consultant. Being a part of Mark Boucher’s staff, Kallis is currently busy with the team who are at a training camp in Pretoria, preparing for a four Test series against England. Strengthening the team’s batting lineup, he is a gem to the South African team and support staff.
3. Ricky Ponting turns 45

The former Australian skipper turns a year older but his name will always be remembered in the world of cricket as one of the most successful captains of all time. Under his leadership, the team has always been on the ICC ranking number one in every format of the game. In his cricketing career, Ponting is the second highest run-getter and century maker of all time. He is one of the rare players to pick the World Cup thrice, in 1999, 2003 and 2007.
