The renowned Battle Royale game Fortnite has been removed from Apple App store for not complying with the platform’s guidelines.
According to the press release of the game, Fortnite suffered the stringent action after introducing an update that allowed the users to pay Epic directly for in-app purchases instead of using the officially sanctioned system of Apple.
The gaming company shared a small video on their social media page mocking the decision of Apple and urged people to stand against it by stating, “join the fight to stop 2020 from becoming “1984”” with the #FreeFortnite popping up on the screen.
Epic Games has defied the App Store Monopoly. In retaliation, Apple is blocking Fortnite from a billion devices.

Following it, Fortnite has also been kicked off from Google Play Store and the company shared the bitter news on their social media handle by writing, “Fortnite is currently unavailable on Google Play. More information will be forthcoming soon.”
