The number one hockey star in India, Sardar Singh celebrates his 34 birthday today!
Former captain, Sardar Singh made his debut in the national team in 2006 against Pakistan and has a celebrated 12 years long career. From being honored with the Padma Shri and Arjuna Award to Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award for Hockey, he is India’s pride!
In his 300 appearances for India, Sardar India has represented the flag in two Olympics Games. Singh has collected a number of accolades in the international stage as well. The halfback position player has won gold medals at the Asian Games, Asia Cup and silver at the Champions Trophy and Commonwealth Games. Under his leadership, India won the 2008 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup.
