Amidst the rising number of COVID patients and a new strain infecting the United Kingdom and spreading across the world, Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced another lockdown in England.
In the recent address to the nation, Boris Johnson encouraged the citizens to stay home and leave the premises only if it is an emergency. In his speech, the PM emphasized on how the country united to fight against the coronavirus since last year and still is battling through it. He also stated that to contain the virus spread Primary schools, secondary schools and colleges to function remotely until the situation normalises.
PM Johnson also talked about the vaccination program being rolled out in the sovereign country and if lockdown is not implemented the pressure on the medical department will be overwhelming.
Moreover, with the annual examinations for the school students around the corner, the decision whether to hold it is still pending and will be announced post-consulting the education secretary and qualification bodies.

Encouraging the new lockdown, the Prime Minister has also shared a post over the official social media page stating: “Stay at home. Protect the NHS. Save lives.”
