‘Mastani apni taqdeer khud likhti hai’ and we are delighted that she got married to her Bajirao officially! Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh officially tied the knot in a Konkani and Sindhi style wedding ceremony at Lake Como, Italy and now they are back in the country.
Mr. and Mrs Singh arrived in Mumbai this Sunday (18 November), it looked like they were taking the couple twinning and winning game to a whole new level. They colour coordinated yet again while returning from their destination marriage but this time they were in their all-desi avatars.
Deepika was seen wearing a brocade hand-woven red dupatta with flowery motifs. She had on her traditional wedding chooda and further accessorised with statement jhumkas and a collar necklace. Plus, the sindoor and bindi add to her blushing bride vibe, doesn’t it?
Whereas, Ranveer was seen wearing a bandhgala brocade jacket with elephant motifs. On closer inspection, we also saw that even their mojaris were coordinated! OKAY!
The couple had made the entire country wait for a proper glimpse of their wedding, and the newlyweds with wane breath.
After a long and stirring wait, they were finally released a on 15 November. Needless to say, the couple looks breathtakingly gorgeous and just like Karan Johar said, “Nazar utaar lo“ inki koi. But the ultimate swag was pulled by Mr Bhavnani who welcomed Deepika to the family and wrote, ‘In the words of Mr Bhavnani Sr. today, ‘Yeh dewani toh Bhavnani ho gayi!’
Decoding the gorgeous ensembles the couple was seen wearing
As #DeepVeer wedding took place in two different styles, Konkani, and Sindhi the photos of their wedding ceremony blown us away like WHOA!
# Deepika was seen wearing a beautifully weaved Kanjivaram sari from Sabyasachi in an elegant shade of gold and red, and like a traditional Konkani bride, she also wore traditional jewellery.
# She switched to a traditional lehenga-choli again from Sabyasachi! The intricate work on the lehenga was mesmerising but her dupatta got our attention with the ‘Sada Saubhagyavati Bhava‘written on the border. She donned a very tradition chuda and golden kaleera from Raabta by Rahul Luthra, along with huge mangtikka and nathani.
Not only our girl-crush blown us away but our Bajirao took our hearts also by his quirky persona punched with desi-looks.
# For the Konkani wedding, he went all desi with the white kurta and dhoti with golden border.
# Both of them colour matching again during their Sindhi wedding in the imperial shades of red. His red sherwani with the golden butti matched with the traditional, striped pagadi. Even his layered red malla and kundan har complemented his royal dulha look.
Both of them looked equally stunning and we can’t take our eyes off them.
Congratulations Deepika and Ranveer from Bold Outline. We love you!
