Monsoon brings in a lot of hair problems, for every individual. Even though we broadly divide our hair and skin into different categories according to the problems like: dry, dandruff, itchy scalp, frizzy, or according to the texture of hair like, straight, curly, wavy, each of our hair is unique and different from the next person. So when our skin requires that unique care as according to its needs why not do the same for your hair?
To delve into a customised shampoo product, we decided on trying out Freewill. The brand believes in the uniqueness of every individual and their hair and prides in providing that individual solution for every person who chooses their brand. To do the same, you need to first fill out a pretty lengthy questionnaire asking each and detail about your hair and even what outcome you might be looking for.
Using AI technology, the brand then comes up with different products that might benefit your hair and give you the desired results. The products according to your requirements are then divided into a shampoo, conditioner and a serum. The package arrives at your home and you are ready for your journey.
The package contains customized bottles with your name along with the hand pumps and a manual detailing how to use the products. We decided to try it out and in our experience at least the first wash felt better than the thousand of products that I have used before. My scalp felt at peace and the hair felt really soft, maybe due to the fact that the products were designed according to my hair needs.
Although this review is after using three times, which makes it a use of one week, the volume of my hair and growth is still not at a rise but I do expect the same to happen after continuous use of the products. I can already see a drop in frizziness and somehow the experience of having hair products that are designed only according to my hair needs make me feel a sense of luxury I haven’t observed before.
However, my hair goals as set during the initial process were shine, split ends and volume. I definitely already see a shine forming on my hair which looks great compared to the dullness my hair has. As for the other desired results, I guess I need to wait a little longer.
If asked whether I will recommend the product, I guess I will definitely do so but with a caution that the buyer needs to adhere to patience. I realised due to the customised products my expectations were really high and I guess I was expecting some miracle in the first wash itself, which I quickly realised that even though the products are highly personalised, it will take time and continuous use to reach the end result. Till then I wait.
In all I would recommend the product. The products in the package are free from all chemicals which adds a star in my review. They are made in India and my personalised kit cost me 1650 (due to an offer), which I say is reasonable. My final word is if you are ready for patience and really want some improvement in your hair, I will say go for Freewill.
