This festive season, Tepah is celebrating Diwali with a new menu that reimagines beloved Indian recipes through a modern lens, while staying rooted in Amritsar’s rich food culture. Founded by siblings Shreya and Shorya Nayyar whose family has long been part of Amritsar’s hospitality landscape, Tepah carries forward that legacy with a distinct approach. Known for offering globally inspired flavors in approachable formats, the restaurant now turns its attention to tradition, presenting Diwali specials that balance heritage with fresh interpretations for today’s diners.
Highlights from the festive menu reflect Tepah’s balance of heritage and innovation. The Paneer Malai & Mirchi Parantha Duo pays homage to Amritsar’s iconic parantha culture by pairing creamy subtlety with a spicy edge, while the Jerk Chicken Parantha adds an unexpected Caribbean twist. The Tandoori Chicken Tikka Sandwich offers smoky familiarity in a handheld format, and flatbreads such as Chilli Paneer and Butter Chicken reinterpret classic flavors in a contemporary, sharable style. For a vegetarian centerpiece, the Paneer Tikka Biryani layers spice and smokiness without compromise.
Other highlights include Dal Bagh, Tepah’s take on Amritsar’s beloved dal makhni, slow-cooked for 16 hours into a rich, soulful signature, and the Basil Butter Chicken, which gives the classic dish a fresh, herbaceous lift. The Ricotta Paneer & Spinach Kofta blends North Indian flavors with a lighter European texture, while the Bagh Nihari brings depth and indulgence to festive tables. Completing the line-up, the Awadhi Subz Handi nods to royal Awadhi kitchens.
Pair the festive menu with Tepah’s signature cocktails that bring freshness and balance to the table. The Bagh Paloma combines tequila, grapefruit, and coriander with a subtle salt rim, bright and refreshing for the season. The Bagh Mule blends vodka, ginger, and pineapple cordial for an easy, spiced sip that pairs well with rich festive dishes. The Garden Smash, featuring gin, cucumber, basil, lime, and elderflower, adds a light, herbal contrast to the menu’s bold flavours.
With this line-up, Tepah brings together the warmth of familiar festive recipes and the excitement of modern reinterpretation, creating a Diwali table that feels both rooted in Amritsar’s traditions and open to new flavors. It’s a menu designed for celebration: to share with family, enjoy with friends, and savor as part of the city’s festive spirit.
