Our earliest memories of dressing up definitely had a hint from the Disney world! Well, who did not love those bejewelled gowns or flowy attires? And most of our childhood revolved around it, recreating one of those looks.
From taking inspiration from the underwater queen Ariel to the charismatic and bold Merida, bring out your inner warrior princess of Disney by taking styling cues from Bollywood.
Here they are:
1. Bhumi As Rapunzel:
Channel your inner Rapunzel from your favourite tale of a long-haired princess with magical powers in Bhumi Pednekar’s style. Bhumi wore a dark pink floor-length frill layered gown with sheer turtleneck top body while attending the Nick India event. She kept her hair simple in a middle-parted tied back hairdo while donning a metallic pink eye makeup, pink lips and rocked her Disney princess look.
2. Tamannaah Is The Perfect Merida:
We all loved Merida, the warrior princess from ‘Brave’ movie, and who can pull off her style other than Tamannaah Bhatia. From flaunting the right attitude to donning the perfect shade of blue in Amit Aggarwal’s creation, Tamannaah gave us the true Merida vibe. In her single dramatic shoulder sequined gown with tulle bottom, Tamannaah opted for a side-parted wavy hairdo and bluestone studded earrings.
3. Your Indie Pocahontas, Sonam:
Sonam Kapoor while posing for ‘House Of Masaba’ donned a lost letter printed lehenga and brought us a look to represent Pocahontas in Indie style. Wearing a brown lehenga with a front tied bell-sleeved blouse while flaunting her midriff, Sonam grabbed our attention once again with her fashion game. She paired her attire with silver oxidised earpieces and bold red lipstick.
4. Sophistication Of Aurora In Kiara’s Way:
Who can rock her flawless glassy look of Princess Aurora or the Sleeping Beauty, other than Kiara Advani. With her innocent features, Kiara embraced the princess look in a satin light pink ball gown with a big bow on the back. Her strapless dress was paired with a black pair of gloves and a silver stone studded bracelet attached to it. Keeping her hair simple in a side-parted old English hairstyle, Kiara opted for nude makeup.
5. The Fierce Look Of Mulan By Rhea:
In her fight against the invaders in the Northern part of China, Mulan’s maroon coloured dress became iconic and recently we saw a similar attire on Rhea Kapoor. In red on red strapless drape dress, Rhea looked fierce. She paired it with rose printed floor-length cape, beaded neck-piece and open middle-parted hair. To make her look more daunting and engaging, Rhea opted for kohl-lined eyes and bold red lipstick.
