The audience saw a marvellous performance by Carolina, who is back in the game post her knee injury, claiming her victory against World Champion runner up Nazomi Okuhara.

Meanwhile, Indian badminton player Saina Nehwal was knocked out in her first round by Thailand’s Busanan Ongbanrungphan. Saina was back in the game recovering from her injuries but sadly could not match up with the Thai player.
