“Badalna Hai, Ab Ladna Hai”!
Yes! These are words boldly echoing in the new campaign, ‘Ab Ladna Hai’, started by the ‘Chhapaak’ filmmakers.
While keeping the focus on acid attack survivors and their lives, this new video inspires and motivates us all to start a change (especially now). The video clip opens with a splash of acid on the camera while Deepika Padukone takes the space on the main screen to narrate a beautiful poem penned down by Gulzar, later joined by Vikrant Massey and common people from across the nation who have worked individually for the society and created a huge buzz with their philanthropist moves.
With strong words and background score, the video also shows how a small step taken by an individual can create huge differences. Giving us a lesson of our duty towards a healthy society with our little humanitarian deeds, this new video was dropped today by Deepika on her official social media handle along with a caption that reads, “Badlaav ki neev shuruaat hoti hai…
Badalna hai… #AbLadnaHai
#Chhapaak in theatres on 10th January 2020.” .

This Meghna Gulzar directorial movie has already created a huge buzz across the nation and garnered positive reviews for its heart-wrenching trailer which was launched on the World Human Rights Day earlier this month. The true-event based movie bringing us the story of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal and her fight will open in theatres on 10 January 2020.
