The Kaleen Bhaiya of ‘Mirzapur’, Pankaj Tripathi, is coming back to the screen bringing another story from the state of Uttar Pradesh.
Titled as ‘Kaagaz’, the satirical drama will bring the real-life story of Lal Bihari Mritak, a farmer hailing from Azamgarh, UP, who was declared dead and had to fight a legal battle for 19 years to prove that he is alive.
Pankaj Tripathi will be seen playing the lead role in the movie and the actor took to his social media account to announce the release date of it by writing, “Kaagaz pe Lal Bihari Mritak ki kahaani hai badi atyachari. A true story, #Kaagaz premieres 7th Jan2021. In select theatres, in UP #ProofHainKya”.

The new endeavour of Pankaj Tripathi is directed by renowned director Satish Kaushik and is produced by Salma Khan, Nishant Kaushik and Vikas Malu under Salman Khan Films banner. The movie is set to release on the OTT platform Zee5 and in selected theatres of UP on 7 January, 2021.
