Indian Cricket Captain, Virat Kohli completed eleven years in International Cricket on Sunday. Looking back at his journey, Indian Skipper made a heartwarming post to mark the milestone moment in his celebrated career.
Virat took it to his official social media account, sharing a gratitude filled message where he thanked all his supporters who made his journey possible giving him the position that is the dream of any player. He wrote, “From starting as a teenager on the same day in 2008 to reflecting on the journey 11 years after, I couldn’t have dreamt of the blessings God has showered me with. May you all get the strength and power to follow your dreams and always follow the right path,” while posting photographs of himself from the year 2008 and 2019.

Virat Kohli made his One Day International (ODI) debut in 2008 in Dambulla, Sri Lanka. Kohli was dismissed for 18 runs in his first innings and went without a hundred in his first year in international cricket. The chubby Delhi boy rose to fame after the year 2014, where he managed to get 134 runs in ten innings against England.
Virat Kohli, who is among the fittest sportspersons in the world, has also been breaking records in various cricket formats. With 68 hundreds, Kohli is just 32 behind Sachin Tendulkar’s all-time record of 100 hundreds. Meanwhile, Kohli, the top ranked batsman in ODIs and Tests, became the first batsman to score 20,000 international runs in a decade during team India’s ODI tour against West Indies.
Virat Kohli is also gearing up to lead India in the World Test Championship, starting on 22 August with a two match Test series against West Indies.
