Period action film KGF: Chapter 1 is the first Kannada film to cross the Rs 200 crore mark, in terms of worldwide collections, and has all the reasons in its kitty to be one of the top-soaring movies of the year. It impressed the audiences and critics with its rich content and splendid acting by the rocking the star Yash, the actor, who has garnered appreciation from several quarters for his role in the film. Yash has become a household name now and today people’s favorite Rocky Bhai turned 33 years old.
But Yash is giving the celebrations a miss this year as a mark of respect to the recently deceased veteran Kannada actor Ambareesh. The actor posted a video on his social media saying, ‘There is a time for celebration and then there is a time for remembrance and reflection. This year is for the latter (sic),’ in the video he also requested his fans to respect his sentiments and avoid celebrating his birthday this year. ‘We don’t have Rebel star Ambareesh with us this year. And so I have decided to not celebrate my birthday in his honour,’ he added.

Although his well-wishers have started flooding his Twitter timeline and Instagram with birthday greetings and his fans are celebrating his birthday with gusto. So here, bringing to you, some of the unseen and aww-dorable pictures of Yash which explains he was born to rock the cinema-screens.
Yash was born as Naveen Kumar Gowda on January 8, 1986, and was acting in plays before he started his career with small roles in Kannada TV serials. He then progressed into movies with Jambada Hudugi in 2007, in a supporting role. His debuted as a lead was with the film Moggina Manasu and raced up to become one of the highest paid actors in the Sandalwood industry. He met his wife, actor Radhika Pandit, on the film sets and after dating for quite long both got hitched and now they are blessed with a baby-girl on this Christmas.
Yash, meanwhile, announced that he will be meeting his fans soon across the Karnataka state by taking out a yatra named after him- Yasho-Yatra, which will celebrate the huge success of KGF. Released in multiple languages-Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam. While the first part, KGF: Chapter 1 concentrated on Yash’s rise as a gangster in Mumbai and Kolar Gold Fields, the second installment will focus on his fall.
