Los Angeles Lakers shot down Miami Heat in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, credits to Anthony Davis who shined in the game and the final score line of 116-98 made that clear.
Davis finished the Game 1, scoring 34 points, grabbing 9 rebounds, dishing out 5 dimes and a blocked shot. The big man was on fire especially in the first and second quarter, averaging more points than teammate LeBron James as a scorer, an achievement in itself.
Waiting for eight seasons, this was Davis’ debut performance in NBA finals and well, he joined the record list of most points by a player in his Lakers Finals debut. Last time, someone did something so great was Elgin Baylor in the 1959 NBA Finals.

The superstar of Los Angeles Lakers, King James joined Anthony Davis in becoming the second duo to score 25 and more points each in the same NA Finals Game 1. Apart from them, Lakers teammates Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal stunned everyone with their A-game in the 2004 NBA Finals.
