Shruti Gupta Kasana presented a solo show “Sampurn Vrindavan” to showcase the life of Krishna by creating three distinct themes within one show: Krishna in Dwarka, his childhood in Vrindavan, and his love and compassion towards cows on December 07, 2024 at Open Palm Court, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.
The event was inaugurated by Padmashri Krishn Kanhai, Senior artist and mentor Naresh Kapuria, Former captain of Indian women’s cricket team Anjum Chopra, Dr. Neepa Choudhury (Ministry of Information & Broadcasting).

The magnificent city was cursed to sink beneath the waves after Krishna departed to the spiritual realm. By exploring the themes of Anterdweep; the Cowherd, Bovine Love, Passion; and Sampurn Vrindavan, the exhibition was a breath-taking spectacle for the viewers.
To enhance the show’s intrigue, she also designed statement knitwear pieces, where she incorporated knitting, hand embroidery, applique patchwork, and Bengali Kantha techniques, that not only served as artistic expressions but also served as wearable garments, blending functionality with art seamlessly.

The Artist Innovator, the eco diva with a futuristic vision
Every experience is laid out beautifully in a lovely mosaic by the universe. So also, has been the design of artist Shruti Gupta Kasana’s life. With her knowledge, experience and craftsmanship she has now stepped into the field of sustainable fabric as part of her design motifs. She has taken initiative to work on jute fabric by bringing in some changes and through creatively weaving jute and cotton in manner that makes it suitable for painting. Jute is 100% bio degradable. For artist the fabric in its purest form is challenging as a medium because it absorbs paint. Hence through an R& D initiative Shruti persuaded factories in Dhaka to work on a cotton and jute blend. She has started a jute sustainable front initiative by creating paintings on such a background. Looking forward to an exciting new approach Shruti is experimenting to create an environment friendly art which is urgently the need of the hour.
