It was not the only reason for celebration in Indian Cricket Team. The stadium also saw several record-breaking performances from the Indian Players and the match also witnessed the maximum numbers of sixes hit, setting a record of 37 sixes in five days in the history of cricket. In a spectacular way, Team India hit 27 sixes out of which star batsmen Rohit Sharma contributed 13 sixes.
Apart from hitting sixes back to back, Rohit Sharma also scored centuries in both the innings in the Test Cricket. He is the second opener after Sunil Gavaskar to pull off this feat. Well, he also set an odd record of becoming the first player to be stumped in both the innings of a test match.
Other than Rohit Sharma breaking some odd records, Ravichandran Ashwin joined the elite group of the fastest bowler to take 350 wickets. He jointly shares his achievement with Muttiah Muralitharan of Sri Lanka who reached the score in his 66th match.
Congratulations to @ashwinravi99 the spin wizard on his 350 Test wickets 👏👏

Indian right-arm fast pace bowler, Mohammed Shami, became the second player after Javagal Srinath to take five wickets in the fourth innings of a test match in India. The previous record was set in the year 1996 in Ahmedabad against South Africa.
