Ranveer Singh has bagged one of his career’s biggest film projects – a biopic on former Indian cricket captain, Kapil Dev by director Kabir Khan. The film is called ‘83’ as it would mainly focus on India’s 1983 cricket World Cup victory.
Recently, Singh flew down to Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh along with his team for rigorous training in Kangra Stadium. Post this intensive training the team will head to Scotland and London where they have planned to shoot a 100-day schedule.
The actor, who is still basking in the glory of his latest blockbuster film Gully Boy, has already started training for his role as an ace cricketer. According to the close sources, Ranveer has been practicing his cricketing shots every day. Apart from getting into the character and owing to the distinctive mannerism gracefully, Ranveer is also training with his team from 7 am to 10 am regularly under the guidance of former bowler Balvinder Singh Sandhu and getting trained under the former under-19 cricketer Rajiv Mehra.
While baba hones his skills as a batsman as well as a bowler to portray the legendary cricketer, Kapil Dev Nikhanj, who was also named as the Indian cricketer of the century in 2002, the cricket fans eagerly wait for the film to hit the screens.
Pankaj Tripathi, Saqib Salim, Harrdy Sandhu, Chirag Patil, Tahir Raj Bhasin, AdinathKothare will be seen in pivotal roles in this trilingual film (Hindi, Tamil and Telegu).
